Count Every Hero wrote a letter to New Hampshire urging him to veto legislation that would jeopardize overseas voters’ ability to vote.
Concord, NH — Members of Count Every Hero signed a letter addressed to New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu expressing concerns about New Hampshire Senate Bill 418 (SB-418).
SB-418’s provisions, the signatories argue, would adversely impact overseas military service members’ ability to vote by leaving only a three-day window between the day that military absentee ballots must be sent to service members under federal law and the deadline for local officials to certify vote totals. For this reason, Count Every Hero urged Governor Sununu to address the risks to voting rights this change would create, up to and including a veto of the legislation.
